Mobile Eye Hospital

Delivering eye care at no charge to more than 300,000 Armenians since its arrival in Yerevan in 2002, the Mobile Eye Hospital is an impressive piece of equipment.

It is a fully functional surgical suite on wheels with impressive statistics—weighing just a little under 14 tons, the MEH is 48 feet long and 13½ feet wide. Supplied with the latest eye care equipment, within its 408 square-foot structure are two examination rooms, each 7 feet by 8 feet, and an 8 foot by 20 foot operating room.
