Your gift will provide education in a classroom for groups of children in a school in one of the remote regions of Armenia once a week for a month.  The lessons, taught by trained nurse educators, teach children basic eye anatomy—how their eyes work;  deliver messages on the importance of caring for their eyes;  teach them about the importance of eye safety and protective eyewear when playing sports and participating in other activities; and basic first aid.  Nurses emphasize prevention—9 out of 10 eye injuries can be prevented with proper care and that eye injuries usually happen at home and school and often during sports and hobby activities; Gift includes all materials and handouts for children and their parents.
